Shiv Dev Singh, Ex-MLA cautioned the party workers about the communal propaganda of BJP,divide the people on communal and sectarian lines threaten the unity of the state.


GNS Jammu, March 05:One day meet of Congress workers of Dansal Block (Jammu district) was organised at Sadein Nandni, yesterday under the Presidentship of Block President Shri Ram Rattan Sharma in which large number of Sarpanches, Pancehes and prominent leaders of Congress belonging to Dansal block participated. Ex-MLA Thakur Shiv Dev Singh and Senior leader of Pradesh Congress Committee S.R.Sudhir also attended the meeting.
While addressing the meeting, Senior Congress leader Thakur Shiv Dev Singh, Ex-MLA  cautioned the party workers about the communal propaganda of BJP aiming to divide the people on communal and sectarian lines which may threaten the unity of the state. He said that Congress is a secular organization with an agenda to eradicate poverty, unemployment, backwardness and social un-equality and all congressmen should work for strengthening the party at gross root level.
Thakur Shiv Singh lauded the efforts of PCC President Prof. Saifuddin Soz to gorge unity and discipline in the organization. JK PCC under the leadership of Prof. Soz is successfully reaching out to the common people living in villages, he added.
He asked the Sarpanches and Panches to work for the development of their areas and fully play the role to achieve Panchayati Raj as per dream of our beloved leader Shri Rajiv Gandhi.
Mr. S.R.Sudhir while addressing the meeting dealt in depth the role of Congress organization to achieve the independence under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi and also fighting the communal forces who were responsible for the division of the Country. Congress is for the unity of state and will not allow the divisive forces to succeed, said Sudhir. He said Congress party under the leadership f Prof. Saifuddin Soz is successfully spreading the message  of brotherhood and unity which is the main agenda of the party. He appealed to the congressmen to unite and strengthen the hands of PCC president in order to achieve the goal of making J&K a welfare state. Congressmen should not hesitate in highlighting the burning problems of the people and their area and unitedly fight for their redressal, added Sudhir.

6321 kanals of land transferred to CUs for creation of infrastructure: Malik

GNS JAMMU MAR,01 :Minister for Higher Education, Mr. Abdul Gani Malik today informed the Legislative Assembly that about 4641 kanals and 4325 kanals of land has been indentified for the establishment of the Central Universities at Jammu and Kashmir respectively, out of which 3000 kanals and 3321 kanals stands transferred to these Universities. He said the process of transferring the remaining land is in progress. The Minister was replying to question of Mr. Yashpal Kundal in the House. The Minister said that the job of land survey and contour mapping has been assigned to Educational Consultants India Limited (EDCIL) after which master plans will be formulated and the construction work taken up. He said at present both the Central Universities are functional in the rental accommodation. Govt. to conduct scientific study of the traffic management in J&K

By Tahir Mushtaq (TNI) GNS JAMMU, : With Management of rising vehicles become a nightmare for the administration in the rapidly growing urban centers of Jammu and Kashmir, government has decided to formulate a comprehensive City Transport Policy for scientific management of the vehicles. Sources said that some private consultants are being hired by the Transport Department to do a detailed study of traffic pattern, road use and ways to deal with the jams at peak hours.
