Panchs and Sarpanchs joined Congress party at Nowshera and Sunderbani


GNS Nowshera-Sunderbani, May 03 : Prominent persons including Panchs and Sarpanchs joined Congress party at Nowshera and Sunderbani in separate functions under the leadership of MLC Mr. Ravinder Sharma-General Secretary & Spokesperson PCC who is on three days tour of the area.
Welcoming the new entrants, Mr. Ravinder Sharma said that Congress is the only party in the country which has a glorious history of service to the nation and keeping the pluralistic society of India together. The politics of opportunism and exploitation in the name of religions, regions and casts being pursued by some political parties is a great threat to the unity and integrity as well as progress and development of our nation. He cautioned the people to remain vigilant about the policies and programmes of such parties and politicians and urged people to strengthened the Congress party for their overall progress and prosperity of Country and the state.
Mr. Sharma took stock of the various problems of the people of different locations in both the tehsils and asked the Panchayat bodies to come forward to highlight the problems of the people. He asked the local administration especially officials of PHE Department to gear up their activities to meet the drinking water requirement of the area during ongoing summer season. He held meetings with officers of different departments to address to the issues raised by the public representatives.
Mr. Sharma  expressed great concern over huge loss to the cocoon rearers of the area for the last years allegedly due to defective cocoon seed provided by the department. Last year also farmers suffered huge loss but no compensation was paid to them despite announcement by the Minister concerned. Mr. Sharma demanded immediate enquiry into the causes of loss and the extent of loss to farmers/cocoon rearers. 
A number of Sarpanchs, Panchs and local leaders of Congress party attended these functions.

Prominent those who joined include Naib Sarpanch Mir Hussian, Capt. Balkrishan, Jeet Raj, Ritu Sharma (Panch), Chander Mohan, Jagdish Sharma, Sarwan Dass and Mohan Singh (Panch).

PCC General Secretary Vinod Sharma met Div. Com. Apprised about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city.

 GNS  Jammu , June 05:  A deputation led by PCC General Secretary Mr. Vinod Sharma met the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and apprised him about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city. Mr. Sharma said that there are long cuts in the electric supply in the urban areas of Jammu especially in Jammu East and Jammu West. He said that the children and old aged are falling ill due to long cuts in electric supply during scorching heat. He said that the scheduled fixed by the department for power cuts i.e three hours for metered areas and eight hours for non metered areas stands no were. There are long scheduled and unscheduled power cuts and people are facing great hardships. Divisional Commissioner Jammu gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured them that he will look into the matter personally and keep in touch with the concerned authorities for regular supply of electricity. PDP Legislature Party concerns over, prevailing situation in Kashmir Valley

GNS  Jammu, March  07: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed serious concern over the indiscriminate arrest and other coercive measures resorted to by the government in an unsuccessful effort to quell protests in Kashmir. PDP legislators met here under the leadership of party president and head of the Legislature Party lead er Ms Mehbooba Mufti today and condemned the mindless and directionless approach of the State Government.
