Khan-Mercury up, the coalition government disappear and deaf themselves towards public problems


GNS Jammu.JUNE 01: Former Minister and MLA Mendhar Sardar Rafiq 
Hussain khan in a press communiqué to the high officials authorities 
of public health engineering draws attention towards his constituency 
of facing huge water scarcity and electric power cuts by the people of 
Mendhar in scorching heat of this summer which dried up the natural 
water springs and manual hand pumps. He further said that the govt 
should take up the matter immediately with their officials to come
prepare with plan of facing this summer and provide clean potable 
water to the areas of Mendhar which badly affected .The peoples of 
Mendhar contacting me on telephone with the problem of scarcity of 
water problem in the areas. He criticised the worst performance of the 
coalition govt in dealing with basic requirements of public like water 
and electricity.  They left no stone unturned in treating step 
motherly treatment with the Mendhar tehsil in providing funds to carry 
water schemes in proper time and where it take long period to complete 
one project is only due non availability and no seriousness of this 
govt . led by the national conference. He further said that the 
Minster for P.H.E had assured to provide as many hand pumps as 
required in Mendhar taking in view scarcity of water and the funds 
provided under BRGF has not been utilised so far for hand pumps and 
the one boring machine provided by the govt in Mendhar for boring hand 
pumps are not working perfectly in their performance so that every 
year hand pump in legislature quota are lapsed or they do 
deliberately. He further directed immediately provide fresh boring 
hand pumps machine to the Mendhar tehsil so that remaining areas where 
hand pumps are sanctioned must covered up.

PCC General Secretary Vinod Sharma met Div. Com. Apprised about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city.

 GNS  Jammu , June 05:  A deputation led by PCC General Secretary Mr. Vinod Sharma met the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and apprised him about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city. Mr. Sharma said that there are long cuts in the electric supply in the urban areas of Jammu especially in Jammu East and Jammu West. He said that the children and old aged are falling ill due to long cuts in electric supply during scorching heat. He said that the scheduled fixed by the department for power cuts i.e three hours for metered areas and eight hours for non metered areas stands no were. There are long scheduled and unscheduled power cuts and people are facing great hardships. Divisional Commissioner Jammu gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured them that he will look into the matter personally and keep in touch with the concerned authorities for regular supply of electricity.
