Abdul Majid Sheikh of Judda (Arnas) joined PDP

GNS JAMMU JULY 24: On the motivation of Imtiyaz Shan, PDP Zone President, Gool-Arnas Shri Abdul Majid Sheikh of Judda (Arnas) along with many of his supporters joined PDP while leaving Ambhedkar National Congress. He along with his supports joined before S Tarlok Singh Bajwa, Vice President PDP in PDP Office Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. On this occasion Mr Ved Mahajan welcome them in the Party Fold. While speaking on the occasion Mr. Abdul Majid Sheikh  said that we have realised that PDP is the only Party under the banner of Jenab Mufti Mohd Sayed & Mtr Mehmooba Mufti who can solve the problems of the general masses in the State. He said that we will whole heartly support the policies & programmes of the PDP. The meeting was also addressed by Chatter Singh Saini, H S Sodhi, Bushan Lal Dogra, Rajinder Manhas, Imtiyaz Shan,  Varinder Singh Sonu, Vimal Sharma, Rafiq Choudhary, Ashok Bhat and many others.

PCC General Secretary Vinod Sharma met Div. Com. Apprised about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city.

 GNS  Jammu , June 05:  A deputation led by PCC General Secretary Mr. Vinod Sharma met the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and apprised him about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city. Mr. Sharma said that there are long cuts in the electric supply in the urban areas of Jammu especially in Jammu East and Jammu West. He said that the children and old aged are falling ill due to long cuts in electric supply during scorching heat. He said that the scheduled fixed by the department for power cuts i.e three hours for metered areas and eight hours for non metered areas stands no were. There are long scheduled and unscheduled power cuts and people are facing great hardships. Divisional Commissioner Jammu gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured them that he will look into the matter personally and keep in touch with the concerned authorities for regular supply of electricity. Kashmir gets high security number plates

GNS Jammu, June 11:  Jammu and Kashmir today began fixing tamper proof number plates on vehicles in line with an apex court order. The number plates will have a unique identification to allow the transport department to retrieve all details of any vehicle. According to Regional Transport Officer Virender Slathia, the process started in Jammu and Srinagar while other districts would follow later. Slathia said the number plates will be visible up to 150 metres and will glow at night. Initially the plates are being fitted only on new vehicles. "We will fix 150-200 plates daily on new vehicles while the plates on old vehicles will be replaced on dates to be notified later," said the officer. Jammu and Srinagar cities have approximately half a million vehicles each plying on their streets. Slathia cautioned that it would be impossible to fix new number plates on all vehicles in the state within two months as directed by the apex court. The company installing plate
