Urged the CM to look into the financial mess in various departments which hampering the development of Jammu Kashmir State:

GNS Sangrama  July 02: Former Minister and Member AICC Abdul Gani Vakil  urged the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to take stringent measures to curb corruption in the State and make the administration accountable. Mr. Vakil said menace of corruption has eroded our system and common masses are not getting justice due to corruption, nepotism and favoritism”, in administration. He urged the Chief Minister to look into the financial mess in various departments which is hampering the development of our State. The former Minister said that due to red tapism in the administration image of the coalition government is getting eroded among common masses. He said that Congress was against corruption and it was towards this end that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had assured a strong Lokpal. The State Government must also follow the same pattern and constitute and independent commission and get the cases of financial mismanagement in various departments investigated to win over confidence of masses.
Vakil expressed concern and said that whose cases were pending in SAC have got stays from the high court by which “Investigating institutions like State Accountability Commission have become defunct. Mr. Vakil said that “It would be better if the Government would constitute an independent commission to probe into the corruption charges of politicians and bureaucrats he assured Chief Minister full support of the congress in eradicating this menace and said that if the government succeeds in uprooting this menace it wil l be the biggest achievement of the present government. Mr. Vakil was addressing a youth rally at Trumbgund in Sangrama. The rally was organized by Assembly President Youth Congress Sangrama Sheikh Manzoor Ahmad
Describing youth as future of the nation, Vakil said country has high hopes on its younger generation and they have to play a bigger role in the process of nation building. 
He said youth are strength of the nation and should come together and join hands to become stakeholders in the decision making process of the country.  Vakil lauded the role of Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi in motivating the youth to come forward and play a proactive role in serving society. Vakil said youth of the nation has to play an important role in eradication of corruption because this menace has left poor populace paralyzed. Vakil said that fight against corruption begins at home and the issue needs to be firstly taken up at individual level, adding that, everybody should first introspect and rage a war against corruption at personal level automatically the menace would get tamed. He lambasted opposition for not playing a constructive role by not helping the government to eradicate corruption and said that power hungry opposition was not taking up developmental issues but trying to exploit common masses by raising sentimental issues. The opposition he said was not deliberately playing its role to keep the government in dark but he added that congress will raise its voice against any type of irregularities in order to set the system right.

PCC General Secretary Vinod Sharma met Div. Com. Apprised about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city.

 GNS  Jammu , June 05:  A deputation led by PCC General Secretary Mr. Vinod Sharma met the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and apprised him about the problem of electric supply in Jammu city. Mr. Sharma said that there are long cuts in the electric supply in the urban areas of Jammu especially in Jammu East and Jammu West. He said that the children and old aged are falling ill due to long cuts in electric supply during scorching heat. He said that the scheduled fixed by the department for power cuts i.e three hours for metered areas and eight hours for non metered areas stands no were. There are long scheduled and unscheduled power cuts and people are facing great hardships.
